Maximising the space within your camper can be a make or break when it comes to the layout of your tiny home. I have always found a vital aspect of living/travelling in these vans is to have versatility and the ability to move the space around. This can come in many different forms, dependent on the needs of the user.
Using different mechanisms and designs, one section of your van can be transformed from a dining and socialising area into a large double bed, big enough for a comfortable nights sleep. We are always innovating and coming up with new ideas in our workshop, creating and designing new concepts to achieve the desired effect.
(Pictured below is an example of our most recent conversion.)
The two front seats are maneuverable on swivel bases, allowing over 180 degrees of rotation. The rear bench seat is a fixed feature ready for the use of a more intimate, one-to-one setting paired with the drivers swivel seat. This feature has been further developed with the design of a pull-out, extendable bench seat, allowing for up to 4 people in total.
This feature is a great way to maximise space and offers options for those rainy nights you and your friends want to stay dry and carry on socialising. It definitely beats going to bed and these moments can make a holiday!
The inside of the draw is accessible by a top opening hatch once it has been pulled out. The back cushion of the main bench seat is customised to fit the extra seat, eradicating the need to store it elsewhere.
Another example of how we maximised the space in this conversion was the flat top kitchen worktop. Along side a Thetford Triplex glass top oven and hob we inset the sink and covered the space with an oak infill, cut out of the original worktop. Giving an aesthetically appeasing finish and more essential worktop space within the camper.
This is the type of work we love producing, we would love to hear your feed back and suggestions for new ideas! Check us out on our Instagram for more content and don’t hesitate to get in touch for enquiries!
