T6 Highline Camper Conversion

The latest full T6 Highline van conversion to leave the workshop...

This came in for a lineout of new insulation, carpet lining and windows a few months ago before returning for the full works!

Massive spec with the brilliant SCA 194 High Elevating Roof complete with slatted lift up roof bed to sleep one up in the penthouse suite.

The rock and roll bed is a RIB 112 Bed with loads of under bed and rear storage. The side units have been finished in walnut and puntinella tops and have matching wardrobe and matching table.

The kitchen installation features a Smev 9222 hob/sink with pumped cold water, a Weaco CRX 50 fridge to take care of all cooking, cleaning and eating duties. Taking care of the leisure power supply is a Sargent Electrics box with 240v sockets, 12v/USB charging points, LED down lights, flexi lights and an over counter strip light.

On the outside we've installed a domestic wind-out awning finished in black to match the van - this gives more standing space and somewhere to sit outside without being in direct sun. And for cold, frosty nights on the road we've added a Webasto STC2000 12v diesel heater with timer - so no more cold van in a morning either!

Video: How To Use A Pop Top Roof

In the first of our 'How to...' videos we look at the correct procedure for opening and closing an elevating roof, or 'Pop Top' roof, as they're often known. Getting this right can save large bills for repairs to the fabric sides (or bellows) of the roof, and prevent the roof from leaking or becoming prised open by the wind while in transit.

Don't forget at SJ Campers we supply, paint and fit a range of elevating roofs for Volkswagen and other vans. For guide prices and information take a look at our Roofs, or get in touch with us to find out how we can help make your dream camper van a reality.

Thanks to HDDN Media for the video production.
